2nd Student Seminar

As already announced at the last SPP 1391 meeting in Bad Honnef, an internal SPP seminar for graduate students and Post-Docs will be held in Bad Lauterbad/Black Forest from Oct. 29th to Oct. 31st. The seminar seeks to foster the contact and scientific exchange between the different projects within the SPP on the graduate student and Post-Doc level. The oral presentations offer enough room for discussions about methods and experimental experiences. Next to the program there will also be some room for social activities.

The seminar will take place at the Waldhotel Zollernblick in Lauterbad, located 70 km southeast of Stuttgart in the Black Forest. For a better transfer to Lauterbad, a bus between Stuttgart Hauptbahnhof and the Hotel will be organized if there are enough interested attendees (please specify in registration). A shuttle service for the transfer between Freudenstadt and the seminar

location will also be offered.

The seminar will start with lunch on Monday and ends after lunch on Wednesday. Accommodation and food costs will be covered by the organizational project of the SPP. Depending on the number of participants the travel costs will be covered or at least subsidized. We would like ask to initially restrict the number of registrations per SPP project to a maximum of two persons.

The deadline for registration is September 14th 2012.

For questions and further information, please contact:
Matthias Brandstetter or Thorsten Schumacher (
write mail)

IMPORTANT:

All participants should contribute to the seminar - so please provide title, author list, affiliations and abstract in addition to your registration information (the corresponding boxes to enter this information appear as soon as you check the submit contribution box). Note that each SPP project should be presented in an oral contribution. However, in the comments box you can indicate whether you prefer oral or poster presentation for this particular contribution!
